Free Government run tax e-filing system may soon be a reality

There has already been an IRS program in place for low income Americans but the program has performed poorely.

An report published in April found that while 70% Of taxpayers are eligible for free filing but only 3percent use it.

Experts says the system could take two basic forms: One conservative in scope and the other one more far reaching.

Its not clear how a new free
e-filing system would line up with IRS agreement with private tax preparers.

Return Free Filing is the second option for a free IRS run e-filing system. Experts feel it may once again come under consideration.

Return free filing is used by many countries where Government does the taxes withholding whats owned without requirieng forms to be sent to taxpayers.
